Efficient electric heating

Move towards smarter heating with an air source heat pump.

A well-designed heat-pump system can provide dependable heating and hot water while supporting the shift away from fossil-fuel heating.

The heat pump moves available heat from outside air into a steady whole-home heating system.

Why it matters

Heat pumps reward good design—not guesswork.

The property’s heat loss, emitters, hot-water demand, controls and outdoor-unit location all matter. Envirenew starts with suitability and system design, then explains how it will operate day to day.

01

Efficient heat transfer

Move available heat from outside air into the property rather than creating every unit of heat directly.

02

Reduce fossil-fuel reliance

Support a move away from oil, LPG or gas where the property and design are suitable.

03

Stable comfort

Use lower-temperature, longer-running heating designed to maintain an even indoor temperature.

04

Connect with solar

Consider heating alongside solar generation, storage and the property’s wider electrical demand.

Designed, not just installed

The details that turn equipment into a working system.

We make the recommendation understandable, show what has shaped it and keep the delivery route visible from assessment through handover.

Helpful to know

Questions about heat pumps.

A good decision starts with the limits and practical details as well as the benefits.

Will a heat pump work in cold weather?+

Modern systems are designed to operate in low outdoor temperatures, but capacity and efficiency change with conditions. Correct sizing is essential.

Do I need new radiators?+

Not always. Existing emitters must be assessed against room heat loss and intended flow temperature; some properties need selected upgrades rather than a complete replacement.

Are heat pumps noisy?+

Outdoor units make some sound. Product selection and considerate positioning are important, along with the applicable planning and manufacturer requirements.

Can solar power a heat pump?+

Solar can contribute to the property’s electricity demand, including the heat pump, but seasonal generation and heating demand do not always coincide. We model them as part of one energy plan.
